I use this phone when I go hunting in Canada and it works great.

I use this phone when I go hunting in Canada and it works great. I had a small issue with connecting to the network at first and I couldn't figure out what the issue was, turns out you need to be away from any tall abject whether it is a large mountain or a tall building and you have to use it outside. Other than that the phone works awesome! After I am able to get connected I am happy.

I plan on taking this phone with me when I travel but since I've received it its been fantastic. I've been testing it out stateside (Florida to be exact) and it has performed flawlessly. Very quick and easy to connect to the satellites and I have not had any issues with the battery or antenna. If you're looking for a reliable sat phone then this is a good option.

Night and day comparing to previous version: very fast network connection, excellent sound quality, reliable service. I'm using Inmarsat for my hiking trips in NC and GA mountains, and short of being in a cave, I usually can get reliable connection everywhere. Device itself is just perfect: very sturdy, rugged, nice looking and easy to use. Has all usual / necessary features, and long, looooong battery life: no modern cellphones last 6+ days ( ! ). Can't be happier.

Excellent satellite phone. Quick registration when making calls. Many features including a programable sos button for one touch messaging to party of choice with current gps coordinates.

The inmarsat phone has been a life saver and provide a peace of mind. For anyone who enjoys hiking, camping and hitting jeep trails in the outdoors where there's no cell phone reception this is great.

Bought this phone for my son who works in West Texas on the oil rigs and could never get a cell phone to work. He has a new baby and his wife needed to be able to reach him. Works great, my son loves it and especially all the extra bells and whistles that it has. Needed to call Blue Cosmo one time for a simple question and they were great, helpful and polite. Highly recommend.

I'm a professional nature photographer, and I'm often in places with no cell phone reception. I purchased this mainly for letting family know where I'm at each day while traveling off the grid, as well as emergency use. The reception exceeded my expectations, and even works very well within a dense forest (with trees about 3 stories tall). The ear speaker is nice and loud, and calls are clear with slight digital distortion. There is enough of a delay that you'll be conscious of it and have to be more patient than normal conversing with people. The phone is a bit large, but its much lighter than it looks, and it feels rock solid. It comes with every accessory needed, including ear piece, car and wall chargers, and a travel case. It uses a standard micro usb for charging. The whole thing fits nicely into my camera bag. Battery life is fantastic, but you need to remember to turn the phone off when stored.

I ordered this phone because of what hurricane Maria did to our communications system in Puerto Rico in September 2017. Because of system's impact, my family in the mainland (USA) weren't able to contact us in Puerto Rico for 3 weeks. I tested the Isatphone2 in Arizona: get the satellite signal and works perfect. Today, from my home in Puerto Rico make a call and send a text from my Isatphone2 to my son's cellphone in Arizona. Call quality was great. Easy! Now we feel safe having the Isatphone2. Because of the monthly fee instead of prepaid my Isatphone2 is available to use 24/7. You never know when an Emergency will come. I never thought about a satellite phone before, but that hurricane opened my eyes. I was prepared with doors and windows shutters, food, for a month, a 600 gallon water tank, meds, first aid kit, games, a generator, etc. Have a portable radio and All our cell phones were ready and charged: useless because ALL communications were down three hours after the hurricane hit us (hit us for 36 hours!). Be connected gives family peace of mind especially when emergencies and catastrophes can occur any minute and you are TOTALLY incomunicated: no radio, no TV, no land lines, no cell phones no Internet. I am very pleased with my Isatphone2. It never leaves my purse. Peace of mind.
